What We Do
Lil' Folk Music provides 30-45 minute music classes for groups of children ages 1 to 8. This includes singing, movement, instrument play, and basic instruction on learning to sing on tune and beat to an accurate rhythm. Classes are custom designed for each age group they serve in order to ensure age appropriateness and ultimate enjoyment for the children.
As traditional education institutions continue to cut funding to music and the arts programs, providing a musical education as enrichment for your child has become increasingly important. Providing musical education at an early age when children are most receptive to learning will help them to build their basic musical skills that are innate to all people. |
Who We Serve
|
Lil' Folk Music programs are great for preschool, home school, small groups (like a mother's/father's group), and after school enrichment programs. We tailor classes to the ages of the children; from ages 1-8. Ideal class sizes vary from 5-15 children. Classes are held at the location of your choice (in Fort Collins, Loveland, Wellington, or Windsor) and all instruments are provided.

Who We Are
|
The instructor/owner for Lil' Folk Music is Kestrel Weiner, M.Ed. As an educator for the past 28 years, she has led music instruction in preschools, elementary schools, camps, and small classes settings. She comes from a long line of music teachers and musicians dating back to both of her grandparents, her mother, her aunt, and several cousins. She has seen the positive impact that early childhood music instruction has had on the lives of both of her children and wants to share these benefits with as many children as possible.
